Woohoo good luck on getting pregnant. As a mother that have to try (not including last one), take pre-pregnancy tablets, see your GP for pre-natal appointment. Also have censored at least twice a week and not everyday!

:( ok.....well...i dont know if we are going to be able to go ahead with trying for a baby now.

due to this stupid country and stupid bills/debts/lame incomes, financially we cannot afford me to ever stop work. Unless hubby can get an extra 1150 bucks a month or get a 2nd job :(

This situation is unlikely to change in the next 4yrs.

So if we cant find away to fix that, there will be no baby for 4-5yrs :(

*sigh* how can anyone afford a kid in this world and rent a house and live...

Are you factoring tax breaks for families and the like into your equations?

Maybe you should talk to a financial planner to find out what's available. It would be a shame to put off having a baby for so long without exploring all avenues open to you.

yeah maybe :( i just dont know wat to do.

i dont think i can get much help from centrelink cos hubby earns a lil too much, so maybe if lucky i might get 100 a fortnite, but i am making that amount up :(

i knew i shouldnt have gotten excited about all this. its put a huge downer on everything.

and i cant ask hubby to get another job....cos he is going well in the one he is in....and i cant get another job cos it wouldnt make sense :p

maybe we will just get a dog :(

Would you be willing to use childcare so you can keep working? Is there a cheap creche in your area or a relative or friend who's willing to help out? I know for many it's not the optimal solution, but if it's that or waiting four years perhaps it's the better option.

Don't apologise for starting this subject! This is the sort of thing my fiance and I will have to think about next year when we look at starting a family, so talking about it is great for people who are in a similar situation to you!

Most banks have financial planners on staff. It might be worth contacting your bank to see if you can have a chat to someone. Or make an appointment at Centrelink to see what you would be entitled to. Maybe even call the local Child and Maternity Health Centre and see if they can point you in the right direction for advice.

I really hope things work out for you. And even if you do have to wait a couple of years, it's worth looking into all this now so you know what options are open to you down the track. Good luck!

Rachel, Im so excited for you :D

Go to the doctor and get all your bloods done. I believe there is also a vitamin supplement you can take to ensure that all is well when you fall. Check with the pharmacist.

Enjoy the baby dancing ;)

So, we are gunna pray about it and start trying in about 2wks time after i finish this cycle of the pill :)

If we fall pregnant, then we shall just make things work :)

Here is to a great 2008 of 'making a baby' HA HA HA

Good luck Rach - you can make it work, plenty of couples do! Maybe call Centrelink and see if you can ask them what you would be entitled to? At the very least, you will get the baby bonus when you have the baby, and that will make up for 3-4 months of work lost - It's $4000 isn't it?

Best of luck - if it's meant to be, you'll find a way :)
