am i rude not going to the church and going to the part afterwards. I am not religous at all and her priest really insulted hubby and I at their wedding so I didnt go to the christening ceromony but want to be there for her so was going to pop into the party with her pressie.

Is this rude?

I don't think it's rude to avoid the church service. Not if the priest insulted you previously. And I see nothing wrong with popping in with a present afterwards. A simple message like 'congratulations on your Christening' would be fine in a card.

I hope it all worked out in the end and that the family had a great day!
