Postby GoddessInside » Tue Jan 29, 2008 6:55 pm

Hey Guys !

As some of you are aware, it is my 30th birthday in August .... I know I wanna do something fun and was thinking of having a theme, but don't know what to do / have !

I don't really want to have a decade themed party ... so does anyone have any suggestions ?

you could do an initial party - like LC suggested - have everyone come as something starting with one of your initials (first and last or just first etc)
i went to a 'pimps and hoes party' once  lol that was really fun though i've got to admit!
hippy party? not a decade but lots fun
fluro party - everyone has to come in fluoro colours
crazy dress party - everyone should wear crazy/mismatched/weird things - also a lot of fun, normally very bright!
colour party - my friend had a black and white party, everyone had to wear black and white and she wore yellow to stand out (or you could wear black and white) works with any colour though!
movie party - pick your favourite movie and theme it up - mine would be breakfast at tiffany's, something glamorous, can work with any movie really :)
crazy hat party - everyone has to wear crazy hats

that's all i got for now  hope that helps :)

1978 theme. People must come dressed in something representing 1978. Could be current affairs based, tv based, movie based, music based etc.

Last time i had a theme for my birthday I got everyone to dress for the year i was born. Being the 80's everyone got out the scrunch socks and the fluro t shirts etc thats was funny as.

Went to another birthday where you had to dress in bad taste....i went as a preg nun lol got a prize for that.

could have a cross dressing one

Or dress in Helens fav color.

but i like the one about dressing as something starting with H..

Hey, we had a "WILD" themed party (and it ended up being exactly that...hehe) but it was where everyone had to dress as an animal of somesort.

I was a tiger and my hubby was the trainer, but we also had Lions, Panda Bears, Cats, Dogs, Birds, Cave men, even Wood Nymphs. It was great fun, and as you get more and more intoxicated seeing people with there faces painted like an animal does weird things to your mind. :)

A colour party is always a good one. Every item of clothing must be a different colour at the beginning of the night, but you must barter, swap and trade clothes so that by the end of the night you are all in one colour.

Mask parties are very cool. That way people don't have to spend a fortune on costumes!
