What has me intrigued though is what he is actually doing to lose weight. At that size you are sedentary, he needs assistance to even roll over still. Surely you can't lose that much by diet alone, even at that size.

They said it was through diet and exercises, and let's face it, at that weight even trying to lift an arm is a tough weight bearing exercise. My guess is it's been a strict diet and stationary exercises like arm/leg raises on small sets multiple times a day.

Good on him, it could very easily have gone the other way.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).

I watched a medical show one night where there was a morbidly obese man (not as big as this one though) and yeah, his exercise was leg raises and kicks, lifting his arms, and the main one was trying to roll himself...I can't believe that I complain about exercising when this man can't even move his body! Makes me work a little bit harder!

How does anyone put on weight and get big!?!?!? Everyone has their story and I really dont think this is the place to judge how big someone has gotten or how!!! He is loosing the weight, thats the main thing. Im stressing over how much I have to loose, around 70 kilos. This man has LOST over 200kg!!! Its amazing!!!

Oh, dont get me wrong, please! I'm not being censored, goodness knows I know how to stack on the kilos  wouldnt be here if I wasnt!
I mean the actual physicallity of putting on that much weight. Was it genetic? illness or thyroid related? Food related? and if it was food affected, who was enabling the behavoir? He couldnt roll over, much less head to the shops... it just kinda boggles my mind, and I admire him so much for losing the weight, and even more amazingly, not resorting to drastic surgery or the like..

Dont get ME wrong either!!! I wasn't trying to be a b.itch, although it probably came across that way! Im just saying I hear lots of people always commenting about "I would never get to that size" or "how did they ever get that big"...I got to 140kg without even trying, so I guess if you were in denial enough, anything can happen. You would think if it was thyroid or something, it would have been delt with earlier on dont you think? Im not sure.

Sorry again if I upset u
