I am really annoyed at Virgin because they are closing their credit card company. That means I have to get a new credit card! This is such a pain! I sooooo do not want to deal with this! Thanks a lot sir richard.

Wow! That is really surprising, I thought they were quite popular with their credit cards. I used to see a lot of them come through when I was working. Bummer.

What a pain! I hope you find a good credit card company to replace it. Dealing with the banks is always irritating.

not true.
If you are a current virgin credit card customer your card and account will continue on as normal. The credit was always underwritten by Westpac. They (Virgin) have just stopped taking any new applications for the "Virgin" credit card from April 3

From their website
If you have a Virgin credit card in your wallet...
You'll still be able to use your Virgin Credit Card as normal. Westpac will continue to manage the customer base and ensure there are no interruptions to the credit card service.

If you wanted to apply for a new Virgin Credit Card, unfortunately we won't be taking any new applications from April 3, 2008.

Virgin Money has been working with Westpac Banking Corporation for the past five years since we launched the hugely successful Virgin Credit Card in Australia.

Following the end of the five year agreement between Westpac and Virgin Money, we have now all agreed that Westpac will retain the credit card portfolio and will continue to provide ongoing excellence in customer service to Virgin Credit Card customers.

So I finally decided to throw in the towel with old Virgin. The whole thing confused me to the nines and if Virgin or Westpac weren't willing to hit me up with a straight answer then screw them. I figured that I would do some research and find another card. In reality I'm lazy and didn't do that much research. I did a bit and went with an Aussie card. It was the first one that came up on google and seemed to be pretty good.

What did you guys do?
