Aldi

Postby milkyway » Sun Feb 15, 2009 1:57 pm

I love Aldi.

Yesterday we did our big fortnightly shop there and we spent about $150. Our trolley was overflowing and we bought so much stuff. I can't believe how cheap compared to coles and safeway/woolies stuff is. For example, bags of salad leaves ar $0.69 at Aldi vs $3.95 at Coles.

I used to work on the registers at Coles as a teenager and I love the fact that Aldi staff can sit down.

Anyone else an Aldi fan?

FYI: I do not work for the company and am in no way affiliated with Aldi. :P

I always buy nappies there- Eric originally could only use huggies as he would either leak through or get bad nappy rash from any other brands but then somone insister I try aldies- It took a lot of convincing but am soooo glad I tried them- they are as good as huggies I recon and sooo much cheaper.

occasionally I might buy some tinned stuff there but cant get everything I like and the fruit and veg just dont look as fresh so do the bulk of my shop at woolies.

That's interesting about the fruit and veg - I find it cheaper and better quality than what's at other supermarkets or the fruit & veg shops. I'm always checking labels to make sure we're buying Australian. At first I thought it was all German stuff, but it's not. Lots of locally made stuff and produce etc.

I had never been to one until we moved here, they don't have them in Perth.

I can't believe how cheap they are! I still get most of my meat & vegies from other places (Wal-mart has the best produce) but for grocery items they can't be beat!
