What do you do when your wife asks you to lose the hair?

...ALL of it, except for your head

Shaving is less painful than waxing. Though it can get itchy when it re-grows.

I can imagine waxing being pretty painful... Especially certain parts :|

Yowch. But I do it (ya know, the girl version) --waxing, that is --and while the first time sucks, it's not as bad as you think - and each time is better!

LOL  It's not that bad Freddy.
Personally have found shaving is really itchy when grows back(and it comes back FAST!),
SPL? (you know the laser machine that sends the pulse or whatever?) for me that KILLED down there.
Almost punched the beautician one day because it was hurting sooo much, seriously!
I found the easiest, and less painful (other than shaving) to be waxing. Yeah it does get less painful each time, not that I found it that painful. The pain is bearable with waxing but that machine thing was not bearable at all.
Maybe say to your wife "ok how about we go and get it done together?" :D It's all about support isn't it?
Good luck.

I don't think she is expecting me to really go for it. Had to think this through a few times though, and just went for it last night, while she wasn't home. I found out that some parts are quite hard to reach, and this morning I actually weighed 87.1, which is 1kg less than 2 days ago. Did I lose that much hair? No, just kidding. I've been back on track with the diet as well ;)
But still, it was the first time I shaved, and I had never expected this much hair to come off. Legs feel nice and smooth and I actually like that.

About the lasering... It would be a nice solution to hairgrow on my back, cheast and legs... But some parts will NOT be lasered! It just doesn't feel safe ;)

The shaved legs will be great during summer as well, when riding the bike. It just gives me a bit more confidence. I think it shows a bit more how serious I am about cycling as well. Which cyclist in his right mind buys a 6.5kg bike and doesn't shave his legs, right? ;)

I did cut myself a few times. Very minor cuts, that was actually expected. Right now it feels a bit weird, because there's no hair between my body and my clothes anymore.

Still... If this is what the wife wants, I'm not denying her wish. I'm confident enough to actually have done it, which will be a nice surprise for her. And I can't say I don't like it...

You're allowed to say no.

I would have told you not to do it. Just trim it to keep it neat. Shaving makes it very itchy as mentioned, so now you have to put up with that. (its itchy when it starts to grow back)

I had a shot at it yesterday night. I must say, I love the smooth feel of my legs and cheast, but am still a bit unsure about the rest.

Not sure if I should say this...

......ah well, let's just say it :D .......

.....do you have any idea how hard it actually is to shave your butt?

Freddy, you're a trooper. Hope you know that australian saying. You're a good husband! There are many men these days who like to keep tidy all over and especially "down there" and I congratulate you for looking after your wife and her needs :D you're such a sweetie. Waxing and shaving is not nice and there just isn't a nice way of doing it but good on you for giving it a go - nothing is permanent so you will be fine  And you're wife has had a baby hasn't she so in the grand scheme of things, this is a minor proceedure  Good on you, Freddy  :D

Hahaha, quite a funny thread this one.

I actually dont' mind my hubby being that hairy. He has hair arms, legs, chest, other areas and just starting to get stray hairs on his back - but doesn't bother me at all, I think it is rather manly!

But worth giving the hair removal a go for the wife's sake if that is what she wants! Good on you mate!
