Thank you so much for the birthday wishes everybody!

I had a pretty good birthday. I took some time off from homework to celebrate with my fiance, my sister and my BIL. While there were a lot of non-weight-loss-friendly items like cocktails and chocolate mud cake, there was plenty of healthy fare to balance it out. I made crudites with hommus and salsa, home made baked pita bread 'chips' and baked crispy chickpeas for snacks. Dinner was salad with baked potatoes, TVP (textured vegetable protein) bolognese sauce and crustless tofu mini quiches. I don't want to think about how many calories I consumed, but you only turn 35 once so I'm not feeling any guilt! :D

Glad you had a great birthday Ali. That dinner sounds delicious... particularly the tofu mini quiches!

That is so true. Your answers to people's questions are alway so detailed and comprehensive. I was just thinking... you should write a book, put all your knowledge and ideas together in one place. I am sure there would be plenty of willing buyers out there :D

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I'm just muddling along like everyone else. I would never dream of writing a book on weight loss. Every time I think I know something someone comes along with new information which blows everything I'd believed out of the water! Plus it would be a very wishy-washy book since I don't personally believe one plan would suit everyone. I can see how the book would go... "Here's what I think. Now ignore what I say completely and experiment with a few things until you find what works for you".
