Cruising Holiday

Postby SarahC » Fri Oct 20, 2006 10:43 am

I have decided that, in honour of (almost!) reaching my goal, and by way of motivation to stay there... I'm going to take a holiday 8)

I've been looking around at cruises, but have drawn a blank, as they're all charging huge single supplements. It's so annoying!

Anyway, I've found a 13-night cruise onboard P&O Pacific Sun, departing on 6th Feb next year. For a "T-grade twin cabin" (one upper and one lower berth) it is $1,449. BUT I need a friend to book into the cabin with (their "share with a stranger" rate for the same cruise is $2,699  ).

Full details in here  Summer Rose

If anyone would like to come along, or knows of someone who would, let me know

Well I gave up on finding a travel partner - that task got put in the too hard basket! I actually don't mind sharing with a stranger, as this is what I normally do when I go away by myself. I just get cranky when I get charged extra for the pleasure!

Anyway, I found a holiday that didn't charge extra, and actually had a room-mate matching service! Only thing is it is a "singles holiday", but you get that. Been on something similar once before (for the same reason!) and it was quite fun. You get to meet heaps of great people :D

Long Island Holiday  Sailed past it many a time in the RAN, took bearings off it, now I'm going there... way better :)

Now just gotta make sure I can maintain my weight so I can actually enjoy being there!

Thanks guys... I'm definitely looking forward to it. Wish I could be there now actually  I leave on 19th Feb, for a week - yay! I have nicely timed my current maintenance plan to end on that day, with a view to starting a new one after I get back (LOL a week off!)

Doing well saving up the money too... my work at the Spring Carnival will well and truly cover four nights accomodation, and so far I've paid the airfare in tips  This is great, at least I have one job I like :D

If I didn't have this silly engineering degree, I'd be a waitress 8)
