I reckon you should find someone on here Carly... I think there's even a thread somewhere about "get your weightloss buddy here"
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

I can't even read your post, the font colour is pretty but, it is like a neon blue, impossible to read.

Hi Carly!

Gen here...

I read your message and wanted to say "hang in there"...

Am also aiming to lose some weight - 20+ kgs.

I walk for at least half an hour four or five days a week, plus when I go to the shopping centres.

Do you keep a food journal - to track how much, and what you eat from day to day???

I'm learning that my portions are too big and that I need to make them a bit smaller.

Enough from me though.

Wishing you much success with your weightloss.

Bye!

Try more away from home, and go where there is opportunity to move to nature, away from the shops and refrigerator.

I'm interested in having a buddy, we can keep tabs on each other and help each other through those moments of weakness and lack of motivation. PM me if you're interested :)

Carly

Having someone to encourage you can be helpful especially if they went through the same experiences as you are going through. But in my opinion, it is important that it does not become a crutch and that you continue to follow through on your diet and exercise.

I have found for example that if I am feeling a little under the weather and some ask me how I am doing rather than saying I am ok or I am getting better, I say oh I feel so sick. I say that because when I tell people that, they shower love and attention on me which feels great. But perhaps if I had made a mental shift and responded that I am well then that may have helped me get better quicker.

So the point is, don't beat up on yourself when you slip. See it is a bump in the road and continue to press on in a positive frame of mind.

It is also important to seek professional advice on your nutrition and exercise program because success breeds success and if what you are doing is not giving you the results you deserve, maybe it is time for a change.

Good luck Carly
