Gastoscopy results

Postby lindtcrazy » Wed Nov 24, 2010 6:08 pm

I had a gastroscopy and colonoscopy end of October. I just came back from the doctor today and he says from the gastoscopy and labs from biopsy that I have heli co bacter pylori.

I have no symptoms, I can't help but think and I did query the chemist when buying all those antibiotics to kill this bacteria with tenticles that is snacking on my tummy lining, that they botched the lab results and I have some one elses biopsy results.

All the googling I've done on this bacteria sugest, burning, and refux. I have no discomfort at all , and I eat spicy and chilli. This bacteria causes peptic ulcers.

I'm symptom free, is it possible to have this bacteria and be totally unaware?

Now I'm on a barrage of antibiotics.

I think you can have it and be unaware for a while... but then if it stays for long enough it will cause issues. Why did you have the procedures done if you had no symptoms? Normally something like that would only be done if there was a reason to suspect something amiss?
