Ever had a lipoma?

Postby That Guy » Sun Apr 06, 2014 12:59 am

Well, I have one - at least that's what four (yes four...I get a tad paranoid) doctors have told me it is...short of getting it scanned etc, I'm willing to assume they're right.
It's kind of in the soft bit between my ribs and hips, on my left side of my back.
Doesn't really bother me. Gets tender sometimes.

Has grown not past the size it's been like...for years, and sometimes it actually seems to "shrink" - seems to have done so more since I've bee gymming.
Never completely gone though.

Question is - if you've had/you have one, where is/was it and what did you do about it?
Is there actually a chance that these things go away on their own?

Have you googled it? My brother had something on his neck when he was a child, had to get it cut out (was a simple, non dangerous procedure, just in out, although the scarring ~20 years later us still visible)

Interestlingly enough...I upped my gym routine a bit..4 days a week, about 15-20 k's each time of one kind of cardio or another...and, I've noticed the thing has shrunk and just about disappeared, after being there for a few years. Guess that might be a sign of fat disappearing a bit. Hopefully.

It is interesting to see how many of our underlining medical issues can be relieved, lessened or even cured by us losing weight.
Stuff - that was never linked with being overweight! 8)

I mean hey, I'm not entirely sure...but multiple medical opinions were that was what it was...and yeah, it certainly seems to be shrinking away to nothing.
I suppose, regardless of what it is, that it's going away/gone can't be a bad thing hm.
