Be nice and would be up there *and past* some of the forums legends, most of who I have corresponded or chatted to in the past, I often wonder where they all are and how they have coped with life since..

Wow! What a question but I will restrict it to old forum members no longer with us, firstly ing86 - Lauren was such a special girl on here and a complete inspiration to everyone, you need to read every post she ever wrote on here and share her emotional journey.. Secondly Goddessinside - Els is just the funniest, we were like Laurel and Hardy, had such fun with her and still keep in touch with her, her story is one of inspiration too, she has lost more than Blitz and still has plenty to go.. Thirdly was matchbox, just a sweetie and a really nice and fun girl.. There's plenty of others but I want to mention Ali76, big_love and Butterfly_dawn I miss them all and this place is a sadder place without them..

Of course now I got you guys who are ave too!

I've read some of those old posters and there was a real sense of community then...I truly believe it is starting to come back into place with this new crop. :D

One thing I wish for is that when people reach goal or get near that they don't disappear from here. Maintenance is so important and a supportive environment like this can be a great help. Also just as others have helped them and inspired them along the journey...it would be great if they could seed their wisdom and encouragement to the next generation. The more people hear and see successful outcomes - the more possible it is for them to believe in that outcome for themselves. 8)

I hear you Kim, as I've said many times this forum is and always has been a big part of my weight loss therapy and I intend sticking about after..

TBH in the past when I've strayed I've sorta been too embarrassed to front up especially when I've put on and I'm in no condition to start the process again which I personally have to be in the right place to even contemplate starting all over again..

It's all about learning. Each part of this journey has something to teach us. If we are unobservant then it takes longer!
But more importantly the learning process is about getting real with ourselves. To become honest about who we are, what we are and who do we want to be.

Congrats, JP! *throws confetti* ;) Of course the pic would be of the Arsenals...

I remember early on in my journey seeing the people that JP spoke about but I was still "young and naive" in the weight loss game and never truly soaked up their wisdom. I regret that, I really do. I see things in a different like now and am glad I have actually LEARNT something! Now I try to listen with open ears, ALWAYS!

Thanks Shelley, no doubt I missed a couple but most of those I still keep in some kind of contact with, one way or another..

Wonder how some of the others got on, on the outside! It's like prison hey? Some of us beat the stretch and go straight, others reoffend and end up back in the can (Eg JP ), others continue their life of crime without getting caught again and others come back as wardens! *Looks at Blitz*... Haha  - I crack myself up!
