You are right about that.
One of the worst things about weight loss and being over weight is the sense of isolation.
The "me against the world" mentality...which is such a pity because places like this can help specially in the hard dark times.
I know that if I had known about this place when I was losing weight that it could have saved me a lot of time, encouraged me especially at the pointy end and given me knowledge and tips that would have made the whole process easier.

HI Guys,
You are right, very sad....but lets not let it beat you.
Social Media seems to have taken over from forums in many ways and people drift in and out. Not sure what to do about it and wonder if it is the same with other weight loss forums....
I might promote the forum this week on Facebook and see if we get some people in....lets give that a go.

Facebook and the like are OK for catching up with the latest news and gossip with friends but a Forum is a perfect place to find specialist help and advice on subjects without the whole circle of your friends and family being a part of it.

Agree, I personally don't use social media. Our Facebook is used to post daily our new recipes and articles....other than that we only use pintrest for new recipes, that is about it for social media.

Yes. Social media is ideal for ephemera, but not for storing and searching for valuable information. I also suspect it serves little to reinforce good habits because it is such a "twitchy" medium - conversations flit by and are buried within a few days, order is non-existent, and there is less accountability.
