The end of an era...and the beginning of a new chapter...

Postby pixychic86 » Tue Jan 16, 2007 1:35 pm

Well, i finished my nursing degree end of last year, and i start my new job as a registered nurse at a local hospital in 2 weeks!!!

To me, finishing my degree and getting my dream job is more then just that. I have always doubted myself. Ive always thought of myself as a failure. Now i have achieved this, im starting to realize that i have accomplished something in my life, and that i am worth it. If i got through all those grueling exams and tough times, i can get through anything, including losing weight and being healthy and fit.

Its sad that it took me this long to realise this, but at least i have now. Now i can focus on what i want, and know that i have the power to do it.

hi jess firstly well done :) you should be very proud of yourself and i hope you did something nice to celebrate your accomplishment :)

secondly its hard when you arent sure what you want to do with your life and whether things will work out or not and what you are capable of, but you have certainly proved to yourself that you CAN do whatever you set your mind to.

best wishes for your new job :)

Wooooo Hooooo

Congratulations Jess. I'm still trying to work out what I want to do when I grow up (I'm a smidge away from 40!)

So well done and I hope this is just the start of great things for you.
Cheers, Mary

If I could find a ticker for measurements it would say I'm on the way from a waist measurement of 134cm to one of 70cm (currently at 129cm)
