Saggy Bits !

Postby garn » Wed Jan 17, 2007 10:04 am

Hi All,

In the light of seeing Adro (biggest loser) and all his excess skin.. . i was wondering if any readers have come accross the same problem, and if there is any way to minimise the damage as you loose weight (probably wishfull thinking there) :?:

Any advice appreciated.

thanks
anita

Unfortunately is seems to be a side effect of being overweight...if anyone who has been lucky enough to get rid of excess skin by exercising please let us know!

The video is very good and I can't wait until his doco comes out

I've heard (not confirmed), form a girl at work whos cousin lost 50 kg . that she took vit e daily to help with collagen shrinking in the skin, while she was loosing , and also that drinking water keeps your skin hydrated on hte inside so it helps with skin toning.

I'm also very worried about excess skin,so far so goodbut who knows ,I'm particularly worried about my "tuck shop lady arms", I dont seem to be loosing any cm off them ,Oh no

I wonder how much it cost Adro to have the surgery :?:

my guess is about $20000- i think ally said something about it to me on msn this morning that it would cost that much?

i did a bit of reading on the cost of getting the tuck shop lady arms done and its about $4000-5000 *sigh*

Its not something I have ruled out entirely either Kate. I will see how bad they are in a year or so when I've lost a lot more 8)

When(not if), I get to goal I would love to be able to wear anything and not be restricted by my arms blowing in the wind

Will have to wait and see and hope they shrink on their own, I'll give them a strict talking to later, shrink or else I'll have to hurt you

I might ask the doc about it, i know the younger you are the more elasticity your skin has so i hope im young enough to shrink back, but ive been big my whole life so im not sure if i will :( i might start plastering my body with skin firming lotion

Yes the younger I think more bounce back for the skin. Better elasticity as Jewles says.

I have a little bit of floppy bit syndrome LOL FBS for short, my hubby thinks I am mad but you notice things on your own body. You know what the blokes are like so long as they are seeing naked bits they're happy!
