Saving Babies

Postby kate_turner2000 » Thu Feb 15, 2007 7:19 pm

well saving babies was on tonight straight after the biggest loser and i was bawling my eyes out. i swear i went and checked on my little girl every ad break tucking her in several times and even picked her up and kissed her at one stage when she was still asleep. im glad that the stories all have happy endings though. mick (fiance) couldnt watch it- he gets upset by things like that. he has become a real softy since becoming a daddy :)

anyway i recommend you all to watch it- especially mums and dads out there, it really makes you thank your lucky stars :)

awww i know, it was a really sad story, i was bawling and im not even a mum. I think i heard someone say on the ad that all the endings are happy ones, so i like that, because it would be very very very depressing tv if one of the precious lil things did not make it.

I couldn't bring myself to watch it and was glad I had netball at that time. My son was born 8 weeks prem, luckily he was only in NICU for two days and then in the Special Care Nursery for 5 weeks until he came home. We were lucky in that he didn't have any major complications just decided to come rushing into the world. Every time I see the ad I nearly cry. Anyway, he'll be one next month and you'd never be able to tell he was prem by looking at him. I even think he'll be walking pretty soon. Pulling himself up onto furniture and walking around it.

I think mines too fat to pull himself up for a while lol!!

He's 8kg and only 3 months old. We call him Wombat. He's over the 95th percentile for height and weight, if there was a line for 100%, he'd be on it!

I already thank my lucky stars that my 2 are so healthy, and were completely uncomplicated births. I wonder where you would find the strength to deal with all of that.

I saw it - but don't know exactly how much I actually saw as I was howling  from the moment it started to the moment it ended. It makes you appreciate your kids - even when they make you so mad at them. At least Oliver went home - what a cutie!!!
