A little angry .....

Postby vinyard » Sun Mar 04, 2007 1:51 pm

Hey guys,

Just wanted to vent my anger here if thats ok!!!

Im 22 and i work for my dads business which i love to bits. Anyway mum rang me up while i was at work and said we are having a BBQ invite anyone you want around, so i was like "ok no worries mum i'll invite everyone from work around" so anyway one of the boys at work here, hes about 36ish has a girlfriend who is around 20ish years of ages.. shes a big girl (prob 130+ KG)...

I said to him "Hey garry you coming around to mine with the kids and your girlfriend for a BBQ tonight??" hes like "yeah... ok...." he didnt really sound to keen on coming around.. anyway a little later on that day i get a phone call from his girlfriend (who is really a nice girl and is so down to earth) and says "Nah we aint coming around anymore, sorry... but garry is too embarrased to be seen with me in public" So i was like "well thats abit sad but ok"

How can u treat people like this, seriously..... shes ur girlfriend but u dont wanna be seen with her in public????? Omg i hate ****ing people that judge people by how they look!!! annoys the crap out of me.

thanks for reading
dan

Wow that is such a sad story. That poor girl and the fact that she knows this and is still with this guy. I don't think I would want to be with anyone who was embarrassed of me, they can take a hike!

thats pretty bad form for him, at 36 he really should know better, what kind of message is he sending to his kids! i feel sorry for the poor girl too, she must have such low self esteem to not realise she deserves way better than that!
i had an ex a bit like that only not so obvious, i never once met any of his friends or relatives the best bit is that he wants me back now ive lost all this weight, and the idiot seems to think hes actually got a chance

Umm please dont take this like Im being mean but is this what the girl is thinking or actually what he has said to her, maybe she has some self confidence probs, she is a much younger girl than him and maybe finds it a little daunting to hang around his work mates
if not then Kick his arse he sounds just plain mean and controlling

what a horrible thing to say to someone - if I was her and was being spoken to like that, I am sure I would have done something mean and nasty to him by now and then left

Just cause she is a big girl doesn't mean he should be ashamed of her - if he is, why is he with her when he is such a catch

Dan I do feel for you being put in that awkward situation though :(
Every day I am getting thinner and thinner.....

That's horrible, but I wonder how she felt telling you that????

Hmm........if that was me I would feel too embarassed and only do that if I was sooo angry at my partner for saying that.

I wonder does he know she rang and told you that?

Geez I think this girl needs to grow some balls and walk out on this moron....the poor girl obviously has a low self esteem to even hang around a jerk like that!! What a horrible and degrading thing to say.

Some people can be so rude & judgemental in this world She must have some really big self esteem issues & it dosen't help if her partner isn't suppertive actually it is probly doing more damage than good the way he treats her in that way

I would have said to her
"oh well, he can stay home, shall we see you at 6 then?"

you would be surprised at the abuse people will stay with (physical, emotional, verbal,. financial, social). Unfortunately in my job I see it all too often.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

OMG that is exactly what I was thinking. Why not invite just her and a few other folks out sometime - let her know that you know that appearance says nothing about personal character.
