Shave your head for cancer

Postby Sassygirl » Mon Mar 19, 2007 1:27 pm

Just wondering was anyone game enough to do this??? I didn't shave my head - but I sponsored two work buddies (both ladies with lovely locks of hair!) who shaved theirs. We all went on Sat 17.3.07 and had a ball taking pictures of them!!
2008 - my year to be great!!

I was gonna do it this year - but being that I was diagnosed with recurrent skin cancer earleir this year my husband thought it might scare my family and friends too much. One of my friends did it in my place.. (Isn't she fab) and we raised over $300.

I'd happily colour my hair but no way on earth I would shave it! But good on those who are brave enough to do it :D

I DON'T THINK THAT I WOULD EVER HAVE THE GUTS TO SHAVE MY HAIR. BUT I KNOW A FEW PEOPLE WHO DID DO IT ON THE WEEKEND FOR CHARITY.

My two work colleagues got a "Number 1" haircut and each had a colour put in their hair - one pink one green. Real guts I say!!

I've always wanted to do it, but the girlfriend's not too keen on the idea.

I have had times when I have been severely tempted to do this! How good would it be to not have hair to look after, wash, blow dry, etc, etc. And you'd save a fortune in hairdresser bills too! Too bad I am not brave enough to actually do it though :(

We had one shave for a cure day while I was in the navy. A couple of guys had their chests waxed by us girls. It was so good to pull that wax off one of the guys who I absolutely hated! I quite enjoyed that
