That is a great idea Kate...Scott and I are of the same belief as that and we would start one up here if we had the money too...there is one small shop here that does such a thing, but they are open at such odd hours!!!

My childrens babysitter is about to open a takeaway shop selling homestyle foods focusing on the meals being healthier than the average takeaway- I hope it succeeds but its so difficult to tell into todays times

You wonder why these places don't exist really - maybe it's something to do with keeping meals warm, etc. Food Safety and all that. I would certainly have thought that there would be a market for it.

There was a big whoa-har over Rockhampton being one of the fattest cities in Queensland not that long ago in the papers and on the news...well look around Central Queensland and see what is here.....every conceivable fast food, fat laden takeway shop imaginable!! We have 3 subways scattered around the town....the one really healthy place called Jack Sprats shut down and so did Jack Rabbits...they sold the most yummy healthy lunches!! so what are we left with?? crap, crap and more crap!!! I agree that there is nothing better than a home-cooked meal!!!
