*mugs with choccies/fruit and nut mix

*assorted toiletries (things they wouldn't normally have, but would like to try eg: special soaps with a nice washer or body sprays) in a basket

*towel with name embroidered on it

*favourite cd/dvd

*if you are crafty...make them something with a personal touch!!

*fruit baskets

*candle sets (the cheap shops often have some really nice sets and they don't cost a fortune)

*oil burners/oils

*writing sets

*games

*perfumes (same deal...there are some nice fragrances that don't cost the earth)

Kate...do you still want your hair done?? As a thought for you why ask people to give a monetary gift this year, so that you can go to town and get your hair done and maybe have enough left over to do some shopping for yourself??? Just a thought

Ok....that is a starter...I am not really good with pressie buying either!! But I hope it has given you some food for thought!

hahahaha @ scab....haven't heard that for ages!!! LOL :P I know what you mean, but we did that for our wedding...as I had a "glory box" and we had everything we needed when we got married.....but I think it is a great idea as you can get what you would like and then people can see what you have spent the dosh on!!! hehehe

Kate - you're a scrapbooker - Fancy up a nice frame with pics of your family for your MIL and your Nan - they don't need to take too long, and they can cost very little if you mostly just raid your own stash.

I dunno about the others.. sorry if I'm useless

Kate, Dee is right. Lolly did me a scrapbook page of my boys a few years back and framed it for me for Christmas. It is something that I treasure. I am lucky that I am crafty, and I make a variety of things and keep them in a drawer so if I haven't had time (especially at the moment) I can pull something out of the hat (so to speak). Most people really appreciate something that you have put time and effort into just for them.

LOL. I did it for my Mum for Mother's Day a few years back - now every Mother's Day I just update the page - yes I am incredibly cheap. The frames are from Kmart for about $15 for a 12 x 12, or you can simply make a smaller page to suit whichever frame you want to buy - A4 works well. And you get an excuse to scrapbook! hehehehe always a bonus!

I am getting some personalised stationery for my mum for mother's day from Note Couture.

Either that or a goat, duck or pig If you're just buying a small gift, consider buying a gift from Oxfam on their behalf. You can buy food, clean water, medical stuff, a blanket, livestock, seeds, a mosquito net, a toilet for people in need - great stuff!

I sponsor a dolphin for my niece. She loves it. She gets an update on her every couple of months and proudly tells everyone she has a pet dolphin

Where do I start? hehehe

Google scrapbook Gallery and you'll come up with a million Kate. Figure our which photos you want to play with and go from there. Ooh, by the way there's a cybercrop on at Scrapwitch.com.au on the weekend after Easter - if you're looking for inspiration that's always a good place to start, there'll be tons of people online to help you along your way.
