I think they're in a bidding war for it at the moment. Spare $20 billion anyone?

Wow, that's interesting! No wonder I don't remember SuperKmart, I would've only been 2 in 1988!!!
Our K-Mart & Coles are in separate places in our shopping mall so I don't think we'd be getting one! Phew, I like having the separate-ness!

Yeah - it's basically the stores which are next to each other - often Kmart and Coles share a wall - in fact a few of them have a temporary wall put up in their tea rooms lol - how cheap is that, temporary walls for the last almost 20 years!

There'll be quite a few of them once they're finished - if it's still going ahead. I dunno - I like the idea of having them apart - it's drive me nuts if I went to take the kids grocery shopping and they were running off the the toy department, Apparently though, the design is modelled on Walmart in America.

Haha that is very cheap and nasty!
Very true, it should be separate! Especially seeing as Coles & K-Mart have different opening hours here (Coles is 6am-9pm Mon-Fri, 6am-5pm Sat and 11am-5pm Sun and K-Mart is 9am-7pm Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm Sat and 11am-5pm Sun)... They'd have to extend the hours more I guess!

I think they are trying to have superstores like Walmart here soon.

I am all for it.

I also am all for extended trading hours. I was in the US 2 years ago and it was great. You could go shopping whenever you wanted!!
