Nooo! My poor smashed toe

Postby milkyway » Fri Apr 13, 2007 5:26 pm

I was just getting the dishes organised in the kitchen to wash them when I dropped a plate and cup and it landed right on my big toe     and of course I wasn't wearing any shoes. Hard to see the real damage cos I've got pretty blue nail polish on, but the nail is split at the cuticle and is still bleeding and the whole toe is slowly turning a strange shade of purple. And I got home nice and early so I could go for a run while it's still light. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!
My dog came and gave me so love while I was rolling around on the floor in agony but soon got bored of that and went back to his bed. I can't put an icepack on it because the pressure hurts too much, so I've got it resting on an icepack instead. Somebody needs a hug!

:( :( :(

Thanks girls :) ... I just remembered it's Friday 13th... unlucky for some, eh. Man, I am STILL in agony. I might have to go and chase up some strong meds... :(

Ouch!!! That's why my mum told me to wear shoes.

Hugs and hope the pain is better soon.

Feeling much better as the pain has subsided. Got the nail drilled last night which sounds more horrific than what it actually was :P Doc reckons that will save the nail.

We have a shoes off policy in the house - slippers or barefoot. But I will be rethinking that one, especially when doing the housework!

Last night I dropped a bottle of soy sauce on the kitchen floor and it smashed everywhere. Fortunately it wasn't on my toe (haha), but it did take a while to clean up and the kitchen still smells like a Chinese restaurant.

But at least the plate I dropped on my toe didn't smash 8)

Your having a bit of bad luck at the moment with dropping thing on the ground. That would be horrible soy sauce everywhere, did it stain anything???
