Yay!

Postby Mandie » Wed Apr 18, 2007 3:12 pm

Well, as some of you know, my boyfriend currently lives in SA but is trying to move to Perth ASAP.

I was helping him and his new housemate-to-be look for a house, it's been exhausting and time consuming...

But yesterday, we found a place that is PERFECT... so we put in an application...

and they got it!

YAY!

I won't be living there, but my boyfriend (Joel) and my friend (Mike) will be.

Anyway, this means that he will be in Perth, like.. permanently.. really soon! Which scares the hell out of me :P But I'm pretty happy too.. hooray!

Hope all that made sense to someone...

Yeah, I'm pretty happy.

Kate - he moved just for me.. isn't that romantic?

When I met him last year, I told him straight off I wasn't interested in a long distance relationship - I've done it before and it's too hard for me... he was at a point in his life when he was ready to change jobs anyway, so figured he might as well change to a job in Perth!

That's fantastic news Mandie! :D Long distance relationships are hard work. I am in one at the moment, and even though we only live 5 hours apart work and family commitments (he has 4 kids and I have 3) tend to eat into any time that we can actually steal together. Maybe one day things will work out as well as they have for you. :)

Judy :D

I'll cross my fingers for you Judy!

I guess I'm lucky neither of us had kids to contend with... it all just worked out brilliantly - he was looking to get out of his job anyway... It could never have worked the other way around, I still have a year of uni to go (and transferring universities during a med degree is nearly impossible) and I'm not sure I would want to move in my first year of working as a doctor - I know the hospitals here, and I have good supports by knowing lots of doctors and nurses... it would be so hard to move!

So I guess I'm raelly lucky he was willing to move :D

I'm sure it will work out for you Judy, if it's meant to be, it'll happen... Best of luck! :D
