It really bugs me that I don't like to eat fish, because it is a really healthy thing to eat. So I have been trying new thing's to eat. Well today I tried tuna & I really enjoyed eating it. In fact I am eating a tin of tuna while I am on the computer. I'm a bit happy I actully tried new thing & liked it. I think that it is a good thing that i am trying new thing because my taste buds have changed over the years.

I just love tuna. I use a lot of the flavoured ones and eat them straight out of the tin. I think my fav has to be greenseas tomato and olive atm. The small tins are also great to toss through a bit of pasta in the cooler weather. My kids also love mac and cheese with a small tin of tuna tossed through it.

I love the chilli flavoured one, but I have to mix it with some plain or it is a little hot for me. Tuna sushi is my favourite!

Does anyone have a good 'healthy' recipe for tuna patties? I've been trying to mix it with egg whites and a little wholemeal flour, but it seems to fall apart. I am a HOPELESS cook, so I don't know what to add to fix it. Does it need the egg yolk to bind it?

Losing weight has given me a "Freedom" that I had never previously experienced as an adult... and I am LOVING it!!!

160kg (2004)... 73kg (2006)... Working on maintaining.

Hubby & I eat a can of tuna each for lunch every day. We buy bulk boxes of the Paramount Sundried tomato & basil. It is sooooo good!

I have it with salad, hubby eats it from the can.

Tuna or salmon patties/burgers are usually mixed with mashed potato it stops them falling apart.

Zelma -

Or perhaps try a little bread crumbs/crushed All Bran or some other cereal and some extra light philadelphia cream cheese to hold it all together? Sweet Potato is great too!
