Vege prices, argh!!!

Anyone else disgusted over the price of veges at the moment??
$3.50 for half a cauliflower
and with the drought they are tipped to rise even more.
Frozen veg for me! Recent studies have shown they are better for you than fresh anyway!

Yeah, they said because of the lack of water in the Murry Darling all foods (even packaged) will be going up considerably soon :(

i always say how expensive it is to eat healthy- i dont care what people say!! i heard on the news vegie and fruit prices were going up. however i have found them expensive for quite a while and not very fresh produce. at my last grocery shop i brought all my fruit and veg from a fruit market instead of woolies (i got lazy and started buying stuff from woolies) and it worked out heaps cheaper. got it all for $20. i also brought the new bags for fruit and veg to keep it all fresh and its going really well :)

$3.50 for half a cauliflower???? It's only $1.50 for half a cauli here in Tas at the place I go!! $2 for a 2kg bag of carrots and around $3 for a kilo of brocolli. Potatoes are only $1.50 a kilo at the moment too. Watermelon is $1.50/kg. What other prices have you noticed??
