Your African adventure sounds so fantastic Kate.. I can't wait to go and see those animals for myself, it would have been awesome!!

I went to France, briefly, when I lived in Ireland for a year in 2005. I went to Paris for a weekend.. a weekend is NOT nearly long enough, although I went to the Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo and countless other gorgeous works of art, and I went up the Eiffel Tower and that was really cool!

The food was great.. *drools thinking about fresh crepes bought from a street seller*

I also went to Nice for a day or so, wandered around looking at all the posh shops (all designers like Louis Vuitton, I window shopped only!) and amazing boats in the harbour...

I'd love to go back to France and head out into the country, go wine tasting and champagne drinking and stuff! :)

I live in Adeladie and used to joke that the only time I went overseas was to Kangaroo Island. For peopkle who dont know, that is just off the coast from Adelade. Last year I went ot Tassie so I now feel fortunate. But I've always wanted to go to France. Parle vous en Francais? Ah my school girl french...

Nope... but I'd love to.

I've been to Quebec, but I don't think that counts :P

PS the people were just lovely there.

No, I didn't go to Versailles... there's so many places I'd love to visit, you'd need about a month or more to do France properly I reckon!

I learned some French in primary school.. when I was in France, people were nice to me, but they always liked it better when you spoke french. I learned - fromage, croissant, chocolat... :)

I'd love to go to France one day. In fact I would love to go anywhere overseas :)

I'd better learn some more French though because the only sentence I know is "Voulez vous coucher avec moi ce soir?" :D

Not entirely appropriate to say to complete strangers though

I've been to France twice Kate, loved it :D
I lived in the UK for 9 months when I was younger, so while we were there we travelled around a bit!

I've been to:

Melbourne
Sydney
Japan (overnight stopovers on the way to London)
Thailand (just a few hours in the airport)
England (obviously)
France
Holland
Amsterdam
Belgium
Italy
Wales

Am planning on going to London or Canada to live for a couple of years :) Who knows, maybe both!!

My Dad & brother owned a French Patisserie and I worked in the shop. mmm. Didn't put on weight either. mmm After I had my bubs I was 56kg. My sister used to say, "I think you're getting too skinny" and I worried about it. Now I know better, I was in my ideal weight range and she was probably jealous. sigh. croissants, meringues, hand made chocolates, quiche, Saint Honoures, Paris Brest ..... I would love to visit France...
