my boyfriend & i are pretty much big kids!!!

we really shopped around last night, and figured that because all the big toy sales had just started, we could get a better deal.

we ended up getting the Wii + 2 games (with the controller thing) for $388 at JB Hifi.

I also bought an extra controller (remote i think its called) and an extra game that cost me $100.

it is by far the coolest thing i have played in a long long time!!!

for a family it might be a bit expensive (we both work full time & have no kids) but i really think it would be a great xmas present!

Thanks for the tip re JB. I am thinking of buying one for my husband (and myself, heh heh) as it looks like so much fun.

I was a huge fan of Nintendo 64 (Diddy Kong Racing anyone?) and we got an XBox years ago, but I didn't get into it. I watched a lot of Halo though! But I reckon wii could be fun. I just wanna play tennis :P

I got one for my hubby last yer when they came out for Xmas.

He loves it and at $400 it is waaaay cheaper than the other consoles out there.

We have a ball playing Wii Sports and I loved playing Zelda:Twilight Princess.

Nintendo is awesome and has the best games eg: Mario, Zelda etc.

The games also encourage you to get up and move around so much better than the others too!!

we were actually really clever last night!

we bought our pack at jbhifi, and we really didnt like the game that came with it, we tried to get them to swap it for us ( i really wanted mario party  )

we ended up going straight from jb after we had bought it, traded in the game we got for free and paid an extra 20 or so dollars for mario party.

technically we got the old yucko game for free, so we only paid a small amount for one of the $100 games.

i havent had a turn on mario yet, i think we are going to play it together tonight!!!

i hadnt thought about losing weight using the wii, but i did read earlier today that they are bringing out a 'wii fit' game, with a special sensor for excercisise!

my boyfriend has an xbox360, but im just not very good at it.

when we traded the game in last night, the guy at EB gave as $35, if i remember correctly, but then we made them price match the game we wanted with JB, so we only had to pay a small amount extra.
