Slim n Lift

Postby Chelle » Sat Jul 21, 2007 6:16 pm

Has anyone ever tried on of those slim n lift or simular product's before. I was wondering if if they actually worked. Or do they work in some places & leave a hanging flabb bit at the top of the product. I'm going to a wedding in a couple of month's time & would love to wear a dress I was thinking of buying a cheaper version to see if they hid flabby stomach's or should I not bother wasting my money i know BigW sold some for $20 it was in there catalogue last week.

I bet you didnt look that bad Kate!
I dont know personally...my sister wore a gurdle to her deb, and it really sucked it all in :) but then shes not very big in the first place. i think the thing is definately to try them on before you buy (over the undies LOL  ) and make sure it is neither too small or too loose cos it will show if its either :)

I have abou 4 or 5 different support type undies and I have the slim and lift ones too, I love them they dont leave a overhang because they have a gradual reduction of support at the legs and sit right up under the bust. I have a really strong one that sucks my tummy right in that I wear with a particular figure hugging dress but I am uncomfortable as the night wears on,
I find them good for when I have fat days

i got these big undies for my cousins wedding from Bras n things.. they did the trick but were excrutiatinlgy uncomfy... they sucked it all in and satu up under my bra... in the end i decided not to wear them because of the pain lol.. and tight knickers arent good for u aapparently... but they certainly did slim me.

Here's an interesting article highlighting the negative health impacts of using corsets:

http://www.theage.com.au/news/health/do ... 98787.html

However, I assume that wearing it for a special occasion is not going to do any harm :P

Thank's for the info sandra.

I would only want to wear it to the wedding that i'm going to in a couple of month's time to hide my wobbly gut, if I were to wear a dress as I have never worn one before the only time has been my wedding day & formal.

My mum got me a slim and lift because she was getting one too. I put it on once....it looked good for about 10 secs and then the top part kept rolling down! The legs were also cutting into my skin above my knee and I don't have big legs.

Apparently you're supposed to be able to wear a size smaller pair of jeans.....no wonder 'cos all your flab is pushed up under your boobs! Not a pretty sight.
