Kate, I'd call the local council of where the KFC is located and ask to speak to someone in their health dept. I think local councils have the authority to investigate health complaints in their jurisdiction.

It wouldn't hurt to also give your Consumer Affairs dept a call - if they can't help you directly, they will at least be able to appoint you in the right direction :)

and failing a decent answer, sell your story to a current affair.

seriously though, that is truly disgusting. i'd definitely go for the local council and see what powers they have.

and you could try and see if this doc has the right info (i only glanced over it) http://www.foodauthority.nsw.gov.au/consumer/pdf/complaints%20handling.pdf

Because your not that far away from me, your chicken would come from steggals from berestifield. But it would'nt be where you get it from it would be the store that you bought it from, didn't cook it right or didn't cook it long enough becasuse how long you had to wait for it & they forgot about you & then realised they need to get it to you asap so they most likely grabbed it out of the oil just so you could have your KFC & everyone else who was waiting for it, by the sound's of thing's. But still you have every right to complain about the chicken & the service because you should never even recieved uncooked in the first place. Just keep at them Kate.
