well, today across the road from my house are some cows, and they are giving birth!! how exciting. there are about 4 or 5 calves now, and i just watched one mum cow give birth!! the calf wasnt moving but it is now!! only down side is it is really stinky outside today!!! haha. suppose you get that with about 150 cows only about 50m away!

Heh - it's like having National Geographic or the Disccovery Channel right outside your window. I've never witnessed anyone/thing give birth before. Cows would be pretty cool 8)

hahahah, in March this year my ex and I drove to Byron Bay for the day and along the way we saw cows. I made him pull over and I took lots of pics. I was soo excited as I'd never seen a live cow before. These were black cows.

OMG anyone taking a drive from the Gold Coast to Byron Bay and Linex Head - the view is spectacular. It's so much more beautiful than the Gold Coast as its un-spoilt beauty and you get mountains and the beach with Cows to hehehe.

That must have been fascinating to watch. Sure does beat watching telly.

yeh its been awesome!! there are about a dozen calves now, havent seen any more pop out and ive been watching them heaps!! seen lots taking thier first steps tho/ they r soooo cute!

Ive seen a few calves been born when we had cows. its a wondeful thing to witness glad you got to see it :D

I grew up in the country and our german shephard used to run out into the paddocks and eat the cow's afterbirth (placenta) :shock: lol eewwww

i think the birds have been doing that, eating the left overs as there have been heaps of them!! it was a very interesting (and cute!) weekend past time! :P
