I made a similar suggestion to Ali re her boy's b'day present.

You can get a music sheet and use it as a backdrop and on top of that you can paste lyrics to a song which has a special meaning to both of you. Use your comp to get pretty font style writing and print it on rice paper and stick it onto of the music sheet (the music sheet will create a boarder) and frame it in a pretty frame.

You can also buy him some song (I don't know what they are called - the music sheets :? ) so he can learn to play other songs.

Ummm you can also but together an inexpensive hamper with shower gels, loafers, face care products etc. Boys need to look after their skin too :D

I hope this helps :D

I like the idea of music books/sheets - is there a song he really loves that you can get?. Or even a really nice misic stand? Maybe take a wander through a couple of music shops and something might jump out at you?

One yr when it was DP's bday, we were a bit broke. So I went and got a new battery for his watch and a new band. He hadnt worn it for about a 2yrs cos the battery had died and he had forgotten about it. Cost me $8 lol. But he was so impressed. Do you have anything like that you could do?
