What do people think of those big packages you get at fantastic furniture for $2,000 and you get a bed, table and chairs, chest of drawers, TV cabinet, couches etc.

thats exciting ella!! i have a few friends who have recently brought their own places. i dont think id be able to face th $1500+ a month on a mortgage repayment! LOL

those package deals are great, especially since you are only starting out and you need a fair bit at a low cost. we started out with hand me down furniture both mick and i but have saved and replaced nearly all of the furniture.

i got a fantastic furniture package and the lounges were good, we upgraded from the wooden table to glass but the dresser draws and side tables we didnt and they SUCK! u have to everything together- the draws, kitchen table etc and they didnt last long. They give u thin nails to hammer them together and just school like glue to use aswell. Id up grade to the better stuff than the basic package. We love the glass table and the bed is still being used.

how exciting! :D Friends of mine have got those furniture packages and they seem really good value :)
Me personally I am an op shop queen and get soooo much stuff from the op shop, so thats where all my furniture came from...funny thing is, its cheap and eclectic and have outlasted some of my friend's new stuff! I love them and I adore all my furniture :)
