Hi everyone, lost the plot there for a while  not totally blown out but the treadmill has a bit of dust on it which I will get rid of tonight  I have had an eye problem its called a vitreous detachment though not sight threatening it has been making me feel quite ill I went to an eye specialist and have to go back neat week there are a few changes I have to watch out for in my sight if these things happen I have to go back straight away but so far so good.
I have a few questions if anyone can give me some feedback I would appreciate it.
1. I have been walking on the treadmill once a day for an hour, my hubby would like me to do 30 mins morning and night he feels as if I am pushing myself too hard, I am 54 next week so I would like some advice there please.
2. I have been trying to do this weight loss thing on my own and have been wavering a bit I am thinking of joining the Calorie King site, any advice there please would be great.

Hope you have all been well while I have been away.
Pam

Pam!!

great to see you :) sorry to hear about the eye thing, i really hope it gets sorted out. good on you for seeking medical advice about it sometimes i get too scared to see health professionals about things :?

in answer to your questions:

1. i dont think you are pushing yourself too much at all. if you are comfortable doing it, if you dont feel sick afterwards or anything then keep doing it. my mum is 56 and i wish she would do more exercise. she is as thin as a rake! lol but she is unhealthy. maybe compromise with your hubby that you will do half and hour in the morning and then maybe you can both go for a walk of a night or afternoon?

2. go to http://www.calorieking.com.au and i think its free to join up. it will tell you how many cals you should be eating a day and you can go from there. it will tell you how to fill in the diary and exercise pages. first time i lost weight last year i didnt count calories whereas this time around the process of counting calories is slower, however its better if you want to continue eating this way for the rest of your life :)

sing out if you have any more questions pam, sorry if i didnt answer them properly hehe

Hey Pam

Sorry to hear your having health problems, I noticed you'd been a bit quiet on the forum. I am gald to hear it's not sight threatening - that must have been scarey for you. Do you want to meet up for a walk? Could do it this weekend if you want?
