I took my bloke on a brewery tour and a jet boat ride on the derwent. Very special in themselves and covered the morning/arvo nicely

well... mick was too early for his surprise lol. it absolutely poured down with rain here and i dropped him off at golf. got home, iced the cake, started blowing up balloons when i get a phone call saying he is on his way home. lol. half the guests had arrived and half still hadnt come. they all had to park here cos they couldnt park around at my uncles and walk because of the weather. but mick still had no idea until he saw the balloons. he was really touched and had such a special day. i am glad he had a nice time. he had a couple of beers and the food went down well. will post piccies of the cake- please dont make fun of moi! thanks for all your interest in the party and maybe for his 30th ill throw a better one lol.

Glad to hear Mick was chuffed by your thoughtfulness. It looks like a wonderful time was had.

The cake looks wonderful - better effort than I could have done lol my speciality is making an order and picking it up. It makes it so much more special to bake it for your bloke - made with love :)

By the way, Heidi is growing up so quickly .

LOL bugger about the rain!! But it sounds like it was a special surprise anyway!! It's funny cause my bloke's party had less than half the people I expected so I was really upset and thought it was a flop at first, but the bloke had the 'bestest' time ever!! Just goes to show that it's the thought that counts!!

The cake looked great and Heidi was soooo cute helping!

You have done well on the cake, it looked good. Pitty about the rain but it all turned out good in the end. Heidi does look cute in the pic's.
