I tried it once and it was so much fun!

I started off rollerblading on the grass and then after 20 minutes or so could do it on the path.

It was kinda hard but I am 33 years old and had not skated since I was 12 years old.

I reckon it's fun!

I say give it a go!

it's easier than skates (the ones with 4 wheels). It is hard on the ankles after a while, but very good for you and great transport so long as you have a smooth track (I always found asphalt a bit bumpy, cement is great so long as the joins are relatively smooth)

A girl at uni rollerblades in to uni some days, she loves it

I loved rollerblading in the late 90's - was going to invest in a sweet new pair but never got around to it - I still might get some - It is easy once you get the hang of it - check out this site for some good skates - http://www.manlyblades.com.au/

I used to love rollerblading - I even did a stage show in the early nineties where I had to wear a pair around in front of a 16 ft drop into the orchestra pit. I still have a pair up in the wardrobe somewhere...

I reckon it's more like ice skating than roller skating - much harder than roller skating and a totally different movement. Good luck! I'm sure you'll enjoy it :) and as someone else said, make sure you have the right safety gear - elbow, wrist and knee pads and a helmet, too, just in case. I used to stick a pillow down my pants when I was learning new tricks cos I fell over so much. ouch!
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...

i haven't been rollerblading in a while, since I was 11 or 12, and I was pretty bad back then. I remember always getting sore ankles afterwards and no one ever showed me how to rollerblade properly :(
