OMG  I can't believe I have just put this on the internet. Not a very proud moment for me but hopefully as I post pics every 4-6 weeks I can motivate myself as I watch my body change....

I wish I had taken a delibrate before shot. I am the one that prints out the photos so no photos where I look horrible ever saw the light of day. Now when I want one I don't have any.

Thank you for your encouragement. I am not doing very well at starting my diet (or should I say lifestyle change) as yet. I wish I could just 'pull my finger out' and change my attitude to food.....

It doesnt happen overnight Helpme2lose, it is baby steps all the way, little changes. Believe me when I say that all the little changes mount up to big changes :) .

Stick with it :) .

Thank you - how small can those baby steps be??

I have frankly disgusted myself this weekend with my complete lack of will power - I am so frustrated by my ability to self sabotage. My husband isn't much help either. He gives me excuses and tries to be supportive like 'it must be hard for you, don't beat yourself up' etc which is very sweet but I'd actually love him to toughen up on me a bit. No one in my family does so I just keep letting myself slide as no one ever says anything....Like I said alot of self sabotage...

As small as you need them to be.

Why not start by making yourself 1 small goal each day and set out to acheive it, some ideas are........

8 glasses of water a day

2 pieces of fruit a day

5 serve of veg a day

15 minutes of exercise a day (start small)

Eat breakfast everyday (if you dont already)

Little things like that tend to mount up and become a habit rather than a chore and go towards making a healthier you.

Good luck :) .

Hi Sue

Thanks for the advise - and you are spot on. One small step at a time might be how I need to approach it as going cold turkey in my lifestyle change doesn't seem to be working as it all seems too hard. Having brekky for me is probably step one as I usually skip it even though I know I shouldn't - and the water too.

Having breakie would be a great start (I never used to eat it myself), once you get used to it you will never want to miss it again.

I always drink my 8 glasses of water as early as possible because I made a deal with myself, no diet soft drink/tea/coffee until I had consumed my daily 8 glasses of water  .

Good luck and let me know what you decide to start on.
