Well done on having the guts (pardon the pun) to post this pic! When I started there was no WAY I'd have taken that photo, so stupid when I look back on it

BTW, great attitude about making the most of the gift of life someone gave you - hey, maybe you can do some of the things they only ever dreamed of and never got the chance to do when they were alive.... maybe they always meant to complete a marathon??
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

Thanks, I didnt actually find it that hard to post the photo, maybe its because no-one really knows who I am

I have often thought of who my donor was and what they liked, I have heard that when you get a donor body part you can often pick up the donor's likes etc, unfortunately my donor didnt appear to hate eating chips and love exercising

Hi,

I have just started my weight loss to. I weighed in at 94kgs, I'm 172 cm and I want to get down to 68kgs.
Do you have a goal date you want to acheive it by? You must be so inspired by your gift.

Good luck and I'll keep in touch,

No firm date in mind, just next year some time. I think the thing that inspires about the surgery is the knowing look people give me when I say I've had open heart surgery and they think it's to do with my weight, when it was actually a birth defect so it would have been done no matter how much I weighed.

i envy you and being so confident! i dont even like looking at myself in the mirror, and even dont like my partner looking at me naked! its funnny how your picture reminds me so much of how i look... at least i know someone looks the same as i do!

on the topic of setting a date, it is always better to have a deadline in mind for your mini goals so that you stay motivated and on track.
