Is it just me???

Postby Sussy » Sat Oct 20, 2007 4:12 pm

Hi all, was wondering if it is just me or does anyone else feel hungrier on the weekends than on weekdays? I know i seem too, but perhaps this is because my hubby and daughter are at home eating whatever they like, and i'm eating my rice snax and diet yogurt...hmmmm

hey sussy

i find that i am not necessarily hungrier on the weekend but i am surrounded by people who eat at different times then i do. heidi is a toddler so she grazes all day so i spend all day everyday making food for her LOL (thats what i feels like) and mick is home on the weekends so he is eating here and there. we get visitors or go to peoples houses and we are fed there as well. i think my weekdays are a lot more structured and routined than the weekends.

For me, I get bored more on the weekends and spend more time just chilling out on the computer/watching TV etc - and therefore am more prone to snacking!

The key to mindless eating is to do something else - go for walk, go shopping, whatever.. get your mind off food and you'll find you're not really that hungry!

I actually am hungrier during the week, maybe because I work in childcare and am really busy on a normal day...

I find i eat more on the weekends, where or not it has to do with hunger or not is another topic! But i find that my routine is different and im much more lazy about things on the weekend, and i use the 'oh its the weekend' excuse all too often too!!!

My weekend and weekday routines are pretty similar, so I don't notice much of a difference between the two. I reckon the biggest difference is that I'm more likely to have big night on the weekend - party, movies, etc, - and hence more likely to eat to much then.

I guess it is probably in part due to boredom, I tend to think that "oh it's the weekend i can relax" and am therefore not as busy and tend to think about food more and hang around the kitchen...hehe, lucky for me then the weekend only lasts 2 days. haha
Thanks for your replies guys, hope ya'll are having a greaqt weekend. 8)

i think about food more on weekends but eat more on weekdays, i work from 8am till 6.30pm without sitting down ( cept for the 10 minute drive between jobs) so i tend to eat a bit more to keep me going on weekdays
luckily working at boost juice most of the snacky foods are healthy anyway! apart from kfc 50 metres away haha

My mum's job used to be like that - 8 till 6 with no sitting down, not even a lunch break! She went through work shoes like that!!!
