Daily Energy Needs Calculator

Postby Leonie » Mon Nov 12, 2007 10:07 pm

Hello,

I had a look at the daily energy needs calculator and while it looks good, came up with one question. How do I know what my daily energy output is?

My moderate energy output, may be someone elses light energy output, which might again be another persons heavy energy output...

Does anyone know where the guidelines for this calculator is?
For example, is an hour of exercise per day considered moderate or heavy? Is walking considered moderate, while a fast paced step class at the gym considered heavy???

Tell me if I am over thinking it...

Hi Leonie, you're not overthinking it at all. It's a really good question.

You could use http://www.calorieking.com.au as a guide to determine how many calories particular activities consume.

It's tricky business, this weightloss stuff. I don't know of another site where you can find out how many calories you burn doing exercise but I'm sure someone else will be able to help you out :)
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...
