how long is a Platue supposed to last?

Postby Post baby fat » Mon Dec 03, 2007 8:27 pm

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know about Platues? I think my bodie's been on one for 5-6 weeks. Is that too long?

Ps, eating a high KJ meal does not work. I've tried it.

Thanks for your help.

Im not sure how plateaus work ... have you changed your exercise routine ? You may not be doing enough to burn any fat.

Sorry Im not much help.

If you keep going at it you may find that your body starts to lose again.

You may need to change your foods a little maybe different fruits and veg for eg.

I've been at a bit of a plateau myself for a few weeks and trying to shake it up but changing my routine :D

I don't think htere's any 'normal' time frame for a plateau. But don't give up - all the exercise and healthy eating you do, your body is loving you for it :)
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...

Hi Post Baby Fat,
Um, about your plataue (or however you spell it!), have you tried mixing your meals around?
Like eating a large lunch and a light meal at the end of the day, or excercising at a different time.

I know that to keep my metabolism going I swap and change my eating, so some days I have a really light breakfast, then a snack a few hours later and other days I will eat a large lunch and a light dinner with another snack an hour later.

And I change the time I excercise.
According to those that are supposed to know, it is meant to shock your body and keep it moving 'internally'.

It worked for me, so give it a go hey? What's to lose!?

Hope that helped...

I was stuck on a plateau for three months once......it was the longest three months of my life. To 'break it' here's what I did....

1. Drunk more water.

2. Mixed up my exercise

3. Took up weight training

4. Ate something 6 times a day. Kept within my caloires limit for the day

5. Took measurements with a tape measure to make sure I was losing inches

6. Wrote everything I ate down, so I knew I was within my calories intake for the day.

It's normal and it happens, I know it's so hard but hang in there :D

I KNOW YOU CAN OVERCOME THIS! :D

I can post some articles that helped me with this if you like. Are we allowed to do this???
