Map My Run - for all you runners :)

Postby zeedeveelgirl » Wed Dec 05, 2007 7:05 pm

Came across an awesome website last night.

Map My Run

You can map out routes for your runs and see how many km's they are, track your runs in a training log, it even has the capability for you to enter in when you buy a pair of shoes and by putting your runs in your training log, it tells you how many km's you've run in them and when to buy a new pair :D

There is also a community forum, and you can share your profile and routes or be private.

It is VERY cool :D

I use Gmaps Pedometer to do that but that website sounds like it offers so much more. Thanks Em! Good one :)

Isn't it soooo good, Helen!!! I'm totally hooked!!! You can even add in like contributing factors to how good your workout was - temperature, humidity, how many hours you slept the night before and how good a quality sleep it was etc etc.
I totally love it :D :D :D

Ooh Gmaps Pedometer hey San?? I'll check that one out too :D A guy at work is a runner and he said he usually works out the distance by using a street directory!!! I was like omg no, look at this site!! He loved it too hehehe

I tried joining this site but I am yet to receive my activation code even though I tried to get them to resend it. Not in my spam folder or anything like that :(

Here's the gmaps pedometer site I currently use:
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/

But it doesn't have all those other great things like logging your kms, shoes etc. :(

Poo poo! Might try signing up again under a different email address. Grrr

I had to re-request my activation code, San.. Don't know what happened with it, but then I got 2 at once so I think it's a bit delayed at times??

Isn't it a great feeling when you realise you're walking more than you first calculated ? :D

I worked out it would be closer for me to walk to work than it would to walk my usual route ! Might think of that after the new year ( if it isnt too hot ! )

I love this site :D

Wow, great effort CC!!!

It is good to see how far you actually go, the best part of it for me is that I bought a new pair of runners the other day, and I entered them into my profile so that when I use them, it calculates how many k's I've run in them and when they should be replaced :D :D
