Meal replacement shakes

Postby Chrissie » Sun Jan 06, 2008 6:05 pm

:? Has anyone experienced nausea when starting Kate Morgan or Tony Ferguson shake meal replacements. I have been on KM for 3 days now and have spells of feeling sick and light headed. Any comments or suggestions :?:

yes you can eat. You have shakes for breakfast and lunch and normal meal for dinner. You can have fruit for morning and afternoon tea and have stipulated snacks throughout the day. Im wondering if Im going through detox as I have also given up smoking and on day 4 and am on nicotine patches.

There is a thread in the diet section about the Kate Morgan shake thing, that might help!
Highest Weight - 93kgs
Current Weight - 68.3kgs
Goal Weight - 65kgs

The wise man Stephen King once said - The only way to go on, is to go on. To say 'i can do this' even when you know you cant

You'll find me in the almost there section :)

Oooohhhh yea ! Although Im not on KM or TF ( Im on Optifast ) I had the same, nausea and I also had dizziness. It could very well be the detox, however if it does persist see your doctor as it could be your sugar dropping.

Could it be the protein levels, some people have trouble digesting large amounts of protein and get a tummy pain. That happens to me if I drink a protein shake too quickly

Or maybe withdrawl symptoms from smoking? Not sure what those are though :?

Hi helen - I liost 1.4kg last week and am due for my weigh in tommorrow - so will let you know. I found the first week rally hard with nausea and dizziness etc, however after about 4 days started to feel good. The only difficult thing is to try and find time for myself to exercise daily - it's a bit of a challenge with hubby and kids etc

good luck to you with your weight loss

Hey guys! you'd be happy to know its been 4 weeks since i joined the gym and my starting weight was 90kgs, i am now 87.4kgs! not much but its coming off! The only problem i have is i go to the gym after work so i tend to get home late, I generally try to avoid a big meal with carbs but i was thinking bout using a shake for breakfast and tea? Has anyone used Horleys Sculpt for women? or does anyone know of a good shake for this? Any info would be much apprieciated!
Cheers SvGirl!
