Is it ok???

Postby yoyogirl88 » Tue Jan 08, 2008 5:09 pm

Is its ok for me to have a day off from working out hard every now and then???

I'm freaking out because I just want to have a day off( It may have something to do with 6hours of housekeeping all alone, three more than normal, but i dont know).

I feel lazy for stopping for one day.

Of course it is!!!! Your body needs rest, don't beat yourself up if you can't work out every day!! Even 3-4 times a week is great!!

It's actually good for your body and your mind to have a day of rest. Are you worried that if you take a day off, that you may slip into not exercising very often?

Exatly, Its what happens each time i stray from routine. Maybe i Should just add 1 day a week into my set routine. I mean I still have done my crunches, i just get worried, I jumped on the scales to have a look see and im feeling much better. Its going down.

I'm the same as you. I feel guilty for having a day off, then I remember not so long ago every day was a day off

I'm def going to give myself a day off when I want/feel like one, but right now i'm so into everything that I don't WANT a day off!

Also, i'm worried about binging all day if I sit around and do nothing

I sometimes have a week off! But this is usually because I get some freelance work and don't get home until late. When the work ends, though, I will get back into it and go for most days of the week, rarely everyday.

I think that if you DONT have a day off you can become obsessed. That fear of having one day off exercise is not healthy!
