Personal Trainer (sunshine coast) love 2 talk about anything

Postby Simon Says » Wed Jan 09, 2008 3:30 pm

hey everyone,

my name is Simon
i'm a personal trainer from beautiful Coolum Beach,
on the sunshine coast, QLD.

i'd love to say hi, and congrats on everyone taking the initiative to even talk on here about weight loss.

if anyone has anything they'd like to ask, by all means.
if there's any sunny coasters, that may want to enquire about some PT sessions, awesome.. i have a website you can check out, or you can just message me and we can arrange something.

Have a great day everyone!

Simon

Hi again Simon. I have a question. I've asked it on this forum before and have gotten very helpful answers, but a fresh and professional opinion is always great!

The last few weeks, my weight loss has almost stopped. Losing only 200 or so grams a week. I'm doing 90 mins exercise a day and stay around 1200-1500 cals a day, drinking 3ltrs + water and getting a good 8hrs+ sleep a night.

Eating enough protein but not too many carbs. Exercise is varies every day but I do 3 different things each day. Exercise includes curves fitness circuit, swimming laps, walking, walk/run, horse riding, upper body weights, sit ups, push ups and things such as star jumps knee lifts etc.

What can I do to kickstart my weight loss again? And why do you think the reason is for weight plateau?

Looking forward to your opinion on everything :)

hmm..
interesting..
well..
i'm sory i can't write here, exactly what you want to hear as an answer, but i'd be glad to work at this with you.

my email address is on my website
simonsayspt.com
if you want, we could keep up to date every week and try and see how we can get you back on track..

i'd be glad to help, even though i can't be your trainer here, haha.

so,
first things to look at..

- genetics play a part, not that this is a reason for anything changing or not.. but something to keep in mind.

- hmm, sounds like your exercising alot, which is great..
- sounds like you're watching your eating habits etc..

Getting the metabolism to fire while you sleep is a great thing to have to help you control weight, to do that, possibly attending to a nutrition program, in other words try mixing things up for a week, lets see what happens.. substituting or adding some small things.
but basically we could design a schedule for each day to see if we can use food to help tighten things.

also, if you could tell me what kinds of things you do at your different exercises/activities, and how hard do you push yourself out of 10.

i won't go on too much more, cos really i'd like to find out more, so i'm not generalising and we can find the solution quicker.

Cheers.
Simon.

i may need a little more info, if you'd be glad to email some stuff..

- things such as old eating habits, possible before and after shots, eg, one from awhile ago, one recent.. and if not, cos of privacy etc, i fully understand

Hey Simon

Nice to meet another fellow PT, although I'm not working in the industry at the moment :) Where did you study?

Welcome to the forums!

hey,

definitely appreciate the feedback..
as i stated..

i'm only here to help, cos i've met such great people.
If you just want to ask questions, and not use the service..

then thats great too.. i'm really not affended.
but if i didn't offer it.. anyone to scared to ask for that extra personal help might think i'm too busy for them..

Plus it's new for me.. i've never done long distance PT, so i'm looking forward to being able to make it work too.

But i appreciate suspicion, so what i promise is..
anyone who does take me up for the service.. if after any amounts of week, even the first week.. they don't like my assistance, find it not working or just think they'd like to do it themselves..

HEY, no challenge !!
awesome.. i'm purely offering it as something you can reason yourself to sticking to each week, if you need it.

Sound ok?
cheers.
Sim.

haha.. not sure if that sounds good or bad..?

hey, gal friday, if my offer distates you in anyway, i'd be glad to retract it.. so please do let me know.

i'm not here to dishearten, or mistreat anyone..
i purely just want to help.

but let me know, please, as i mainly just like hearing about people with positive attitudes towards better lifestyles for themselves.
it was only an honest offer for those who ask for it.

thanks.

Hi Simon

I'm sorry but I've had to delete your post with prices etc, because as far as I know we're not allowed to advertise to sell services etc etc on this forum as far as I know (scott, please correct me if I'm wrong!!)

Cheers
