Just don't open anything with "jessica alba" in the title :P You'll come to recognise the kinds of usernames that are spammers. Lots of us have mod powers to be able to delete these posts, but we have to notice them first. I reckon I delete about 20-30 spam posts per day! And that's just me... plus what the others delete, that's a crapload of porn, eh?

Posters who have been around for a while are given the priviledge to be able to edit and delete posts - people who are browsing the forum whose names are in green have these powers. If you find porn and see someone in green on, shoot them a pm and let them know where the post is.

Do you think admin could change the settings so that when you join admin or a mod has to approve the membership before you post? This would be less work than all the cleaning up you guys have to do I reckon!

You guys do a really great job of getting rid of all the junk so soon though :D You'd think these people would realise that WE DON'T WANT those posts!!!
Saying goodbye to calorie counting AND scales for a while.

You could pm them with your suggestion - but I'm sure they know the various options they have...

I've been on a forum, same format as this one, that's set up as a "private forum", so if you want to read any of the threads or post any messages, you have to pm admin to get permission. Anyone can join, but it you want to read/use the forum you need to be approved...

Spam is a pain in the butt. I would get though about 10 of them at least, and that's while I am at work. All my clicks get recorded, so I stress that I'm wasting my clicks!! (there's a limit where if you go over there's trouble!)

But yeah, it's pretty obvious if a message is spam, so just don't click on it. Won't be long before a mod comes to clean it up, there's at least one of us online most of the time :)

I've been getting online around 3am till about 5am and there is loads of it!! I usually keep the forum open in one window and delete as they go...
It seems to be the same one person the last few night/morning with two accounts.

I have to laugh at it though. Why people would be desperate enough to think the porn really is Jessica etc is beyond me!

I know. And I just realised, just then, that when I open up one of those porn messages, the photos download from the actual porn site.... so that would appear on my record

I might need to abdicate my porn deleting duties! Well, when I'm at work anyway
