Fat Clothes

Postby Siana-leah » Mon Jan 28, 2008 8:56 pm

I just got rid of a stack of "fat clothes"
ive been holding on to them forever and i know that they are too big for me!
so i got a bag and got rid of the suckers....i dont want to go back to that size again!!
ive heard before that a good motivational thing for you to do is throw out your fat clothes
which tells your mind that you dont want to go back there....i never really gave this one a thought but
if feels like an enormous relief....i now have a little more space to fill up with new clothes!!
especially for when i am thinner!! :D

I am so looking forward to being able to do that!

Congratulations on being able to lose the weight and on your decision to declutter. I think that is good for your mind and your gives you more physical space.

Congrats! That must've felt great!

I used to weigh 15kgs heavier than I am now (going back 5 or so years) so I know how good it feels to say bye bye to fat clothes!

I currently have a few pairs of jeans and a few tops that are 2-3 sizes too big, but i'm saving them for the day that I HOPEFULLY get pregnant as I really like them!
Saying goodbye to calorie counting AND scales for a while.

Just enjoying the new and improved healthy me and embracing my new lifestyle!

Im a bit of a clothes addict no matter what size Ive been so instead of throwing away quality gear, I auctioned everything off on ebay, as I grew out of it, I sold it, then with the money brought the next size. or you can save all the funds and have a huge shopping spree at the end. I sold off all my size 22,20 and 18's and made $400 ebay is fantastic!

i sell all my old clothes on ebay, some of the items i get more money than i paid!
i sold 11 items last week and got just over $200 :) i love it
after xmas i bought a pair of 'fat jeans' cause ide put on loads of weight and the minute i fit into my smaller jeans they went straight onto ebay, and im never allowing myself to buy bigger clothes again
it feels great knowing nothing in your wardrobe will fit u if u get off track

I never have much luck with ebaying my old clothes...am I that unfashionable? Surely not lol... I have just been stocking up on a few smaller fit shirts and stuff with the end of year sales

hey guys...i would have sold them on ebay....but they are the "holy grail" clothes....
you know...the ones you find that actually fit the way you want them to (not many to be honest)....then
you wear them to death! :D
so i dont think i could sell a crusty old pair of pants :D

Haha - that's awesome that you did that, and feel so good about it!!!!!!

Personally, I love my clothes! It's something I've gotta get over, cos I don't want them to not fit anymore!!!

I have the opposite problem! I have so many clothes that I *love* (I made a lot of them), but I only fit in about four of my skirts at the moment. Mostly things like rara skirts because they have a stretchy waist and are loose around the bum. Never mind that my thighs look like tree trunks...

Oh well, hopefully in a month or so I will be able to fit back into some of my old stuff.
