I am sooo sore!

Postby carleyjt » Thu Apr 06, 2006 10:32 am

I started Martial Arts yesterday and i have muscles that hurt that i didnt even know i had!!!! Actually it was a training session and Saturday will be actual Martial Arts and i am soo not looking forward to it. It is great for the body but as you work every muscle you have. Dont want to bulk up but so i may cut it back to once a week. My teacher told me that you need to get your heart rate up and keep it there for at least 20 mins to start loosing weight. The first 20 of exercise you dont burn fat but anything after that you do. Wish me luck for Saturday :D

Good luck for Saturday Carly. I had heard that about the first 20 mins as well but at least if you only do 20 mins workout you are working your heart and cleaning that out a little!!!

Keep Smiling!!!

I remember when I first started Aikido I ached for ages, but I soon got used to it. I'm a bit sore today actually from badminton last night as I hadn't played in a while. The best way to deal with muscle soreness I find is to get them moving again. Sitting around just makes them stiffen up more.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!
