I agree with the bear, if you cant go and have some fun on special occassions, then what is the point! As long as your not drinking excessively every weekend, you should be ok with a night out once a month or so. Just try to get in an extra exercise session before and after the night if you can. But remember, binge drinking is also bad for you in other ways and im by no means encouraging to do it!
Oh and vodka shots are worth the same as with diet mixers, so your probably better off having one with a mixer so you can make it last longer!
