Getting some perspective

Postby Siana-leah » Tue Feb 19, 2008 9:36 pm

I spoke to a good friend of mine the other day about my weight and what she had to say comforted me a little and i thought i would share this
with you guys....
she is over 50 and weighs over 100kg's....
i was telling her how sick i was getting trying to diet and she told me that she has been up and down and up and down for so
many years that shes lost count....
she said that if she weighed what i weighed now she would be a very happy woman....instead of dieting all the time which has
led to the weight that she is now....she thinks that i look fine the way i am...
i have to say that i am one step closer to accepting myself after this talk.....i think we can get so caught up in all the negatives that
we forget the positives about ourselves.....
i do like the shape of my body...i do like my face and neck.....i think too often i think im a failure....
how can that possibly help me if i do want to lose some weight?
